Has anyone gone through something similar? Can anyone shed some light into the process?

2021.10.19 22:44 Such_Ingenuity_7504 Has anyone gone through something similar? Can anyone shed some light into the process?

So a very quick background, my claim is part of the legacy appeals (initial claim filed 09/2009) and finally August 12, 21 the BVA granted 4 out 10 things, the rest were remanded.
I have waited a couple of months, as the BVA advised a change would reflect in 1-2 months. Since then I’ve called 3 separate times to VA for an update, the first time a couple of weeks back, I was informed that they were calculating the attorney fees…last week I was informed they had finished the attorney fees and they were waiting on a signature to release the fees and an explanation letter with my new rating.
Well I just called a few mins ago and I was informed they were calculating the attorney fees…the rep was very nice, but could not answer why they were calculating the fees again. I also about the other 6 issues I had filed for, that were remanded and how come I have not been contacted for C &P exams as the judge had ordered…the rep was not able to answer this and said that they are taking care all of my remand item and if it goes to BVA it’s out of their jurisdiction….I mean understand all of that…but I feel like I just got the runaround…has anyone had similar issues and/or experience? Thank you all for the help.

2021.10.19 22:44 AngelRose27 Is it possible that the activity from the clonned device appears as if was made from my own real device!? Can hackers manage to connect to same wifi I am using and appear in the same location while using my clone despite they are far away?

I was a victim of a cloned celphone. When I logged into my google account it said "you have registered activity from 5 devices" which only 3 were legitimate. Two were the exact copy of my pc and cellphone. For example my cellphone is called B6932 and below appeared another cellphone called exactly the same B6932 and it wasn't mine. Same with pc. When I clicked into verify activity cause I didn't recognize it, the location appeared to be exactly the same as mine. So I don't know from where the attack was made. Is this possible? In my head there's no logic and I feel desperate cause they stole my data and they even messed with my instagram, they created fake accounts from my cellphone clone and then contacted my friends saying I was in need and they were going to make a collect to help me and they indexed a bank account. What happened here? Is it possible? And how in the fucking world they did that.

2021.10.19 22:44 abbeyishere Any top tips on how to get traffic on a very new Etsy store?

Apologies if this question breaks rules! Please remove if so.
I've just created an etsy store front after not having much success on depop. I've gained follower transaction on instagram that I link to my Etsy in the bio & stories but mainly seem to have amassed a following of other businesses, so I'm not sure how to reach potential customers any better, either directly through Etsy or another medium.
Any tips?
I take decent* pictures of my items (although I do need to improve my angles and lighting soon) and don't believe I've priced my items too high. I'm also running a starting sale of 15% off to try and entice any buyers.
Any comments welcome! Please ask me questions if I haven't given enough context.

2021.10.19 22:44 Lazy-Personality4024 A Universe of Magic Chapter 34

A bit shorter than the previous chapters I think, but its a good'n!
First Previous
----
“I wonder how many traps we’ve stepped on.”, Chris wondered out loud.
“I’d say dozens so far.”, Grudge replied stepping over a small pile of rubble in the middle of an otherwise pristine street, he looked up at a signpost written in an unknown language to Chris. They had found a cross road, and as Grudge suspected, there was a signpost pointing the way to the major parts of the city.
“Let’s see here. The smithies, smelters, and merchant guilds are that way. The main gate is that way. We’re currently in a residential area, with a small market. But the main market and higher classed residential area, along with the library and High Chiefs household are this a way.”, he pointed down a large pathway leading off to their right. “Oh, and the barracks and armory is near the gate, the one leading to the actual main gate, I suppose it’s best to keep those near the entrance. There are several minor gates leading to different caverns as well. But, since I doubt the High Chief would have had any of his personal belongings so far away from his household, I’d say if there are any real goodies to be had, it will be at his home; the armory would only hold basic gear for the troops. So, for now we’re all going the same way, at least we’ll be near each other.”
“Then let’s continue on, I’m looking forward to delving into those ancient dwarven books”, Ayla said.
As they walked down the massive avenue there were more small piles of rubble, and the statues thinned out some, but to make up for the quantity, they instead went for quality. Each statue was made of marble, with gold and silver inlaid. Accessories like weapons, shields, books, etc. were all made of an unknown metal, it looked similar to stainless steel, but he doubted even the dwarves had reached the point they could make that.
“What is that hammer made of?”, Chris asked, as he pointed to a smith’s hammer nearly as large as him. The statues looked to be in mid swing, bring down his hammer on an unfinished object.
Hmm, that’s…GRODIK’S BEARD! That’s mithril! The entire daman thing is mithril, even the anvil is fackn mithril! I’ve never seen so much in me life! And they used it as a great bloody decoration! If I could get me hands on that, I’d never want again!”, Grudge was practically clawing at the stature, attempting to climb up it.
“Oh no you don’t, remember our discussion about dwarf pinatas?”, Chris dashed over and pulled him off the statue.
“Let me go! I just want to taste it!”, his eyes were wide and shone like gold coins, and his smile so large, he was practically drooling.
“See now you’re going crazy. I thought I was the crazy one out of the three of us.”, Chris picked up Grudge and hauled him away from the statue. “Look at it this way Grudge, there is no way you can haul that out of here. But you do have exclusive rights to the only way in, which means you can come back later, and loot everything when you have more time. For now, let’s worry about the things we can take back with us alright?”, he reasoned.
Grudge muttered under his breath, finally giving into reason, he said. “Fine, but ya are going to be carrying extra then to make up for it. I intend to fill every bag and pouch we have will we’re here.”
Sigh. If it keeps you from licking dusty old statues and drooling everywhere, then I guess I can’t complain too much.”, he shook his head at the dwarf in defeat.
Ayla watched their antics, as usual it brought a smile to her face. It was good to have friends again after so long. She laughed as Grudge began to walk away dejected. “Come now Grudge, don’t be sad. You’ll have plenty to sort through later on. Now, if I’m not mistaken, that building over there should be the library. I can somewhat read dwarven, and that sign I believe says repository.”
“Aye it does, we’ll check it out then me and Chris will head off for the High Chief’s home. It’ll be the last building along the path, basically a massive stone palace. Nearby it should be the main market, it will be filled with stalls and lined with shops, so easy to identify.”
“Then let’s hurry up, even I’m starting to get excited with what we’ll find!”, Chris called out, running ahead. Not wanting to be outdone, Grudge and Ayla took off after him, running past hollow homes, and ruble. Had they been paying attention to those homes, they would have noticed that they weren’t so vacant after all.
Arriving at the library, or rather the repository as the ancient dwarven inhabitants had called it. They marched up carved stone steps, once reaching the top, there was a small flattened area before the door. The door was wooden, not stone much to Chris’ confusion, he assumed that they would keep the place locked up like the gates entering the city. Its material irrelevant, Chris walked up to the door, it didn’t seem to have a normal door handle, just a vertical bar to grab on. Pushing the door garnered no response.
“I think its locked?”, Chris said.
“Pull Chris.”, Ayla told him from behind.
“Oh.”, he said softly, embarrassed.
Pulling instead of pushing this time, the door swung open effortlessly, not making a sound. Even after hundreds of years, the craftmanship of the door and its hinges were top notch. The center of the building was a lobby and it was lit up like the city, for there was a large central skylight letting in light. Around the central opening of the building, Chris could see eight floors of books, staircases spiraling up from the ground floor, leveling out at each floor before continuing to rise. As the trio walked into the center of the lobby, Chris looked over, he had noticed the building was a little long from the one side they had seen, but now that he was inside, he could see that there were multiple wings extending from center of the building. The wings were dark as he peered down them, but there were smaller skylights placed periodically, allowing light into some sections, but the sea of darkness between those islands of light looked more like a wall to him. The place was massive, they would have to be careful, if they took their eyes off Ayla, she might just disappear into the maze of shelves and ancient texts, never to be seen again.
Chris turned back to Ayla and Grudge, or rather just Grudge. Apparently when he wasn’t looking, Ayla had slipped away, so much for keeping an eye on her.
“Damnit!”, Chris cried, looking about for any hint of elf.
“What?”, Grudge asked, not understanding the situation.
“Ayla ran off, and this place is so big it’ll take years to find her!”
“Don’t worry I’m fine! You and Grudge go steal some poor dwarf’s treasure or something!”, a familiar voice echoed throughout the building.
“Ya heard her, let’s go get us some goodies!”, Grudged grinned.
“Fine. AYLA DON’T GET CRUSHED BY BOOKS! IT WOULD SUCK IF I HAD TO WRITE DEATH BY KNOWLEDGE ON YOUR TOMBSTONE!”, Chris screamed out.
“I’m more than safe Chris, if anything you’ll be the ones in danger. Most people don’t take kindly to having their belongings stolen, so you’ll probably come across traps the pendants weren’t meant for.”, the voice range out again.
Chris just shook his head, and followed Grudge out of the repository. Ayla could handle herself anyways, so best to deal with his own challenges first, then worry about trying to find her again.
-
Ayla was walking by countless books and scrolls, each one tenderly preserved by their previous keepers. Her illumination spell casting a myriad of shadows as she passed them. There were plenty of wonderous dwarven inventions and history that she could be taking a look at, but right now she was interested in a specific section, a section she honestly didn’t know would exist here. She had noticed when they had first walked into the repository, that there were plaques pointing to the different sections in the various wings, with brief descriptions of their contents. The one that had caught her eye, had stared with an M.
“M, M, M…here it is!”, Ayla stopped at a small grouping of shelves. There were little gaps placed in the shelves to allow passage here and there. But the gaps also helped signify when a section or letter changed. The grouping of shelves was depressingly small though, so small she could see the other gap signifying the beginning of the next section, directly beside her. She had just left Machinery, a section that lasted far longer than it should have, so comparing the two made the size of the new section even worse.
‘I suppose I should have expected this, even dwarves that lived so close to elves still would have looked down on magic.’, she thought to herself.
The Magic section of books was small, but existed none the less. Browsing the selection, she pulled several books that looked promising. She had never heard of a dwarven magician, so if these books contained some insight into dwarven magic, they would be invaluable. She set the books down on an old table with a grin, it was about to be a long night, or day, whichever one it was right now.
-
“Let me in! LET ME IIIINNNN!”, Grudge pulled on the iron gate erratically while screaming.
“Just smack it with your hammer and break the lock. Otherwise, we’ll be practicing flying again, because I can climb over the fence, you can’t.”
After the two had left the repository, Chris and Grudge continued on until they reached the High Chiefs home, and his impressive iron gate surrounding the property. There was a massive, empty, public square in front of it, and off to the side was an equally massive market. Aside from a bunch of temporary stalls out in the open, there were multiple smaller paths that wound through the nearby buildings, flanked on either side by large permanent shops. Some of the stalls and shops still had their wares out, life must have just continued on as normal during the siege.
‘Come to think of it, the city was independent from the outside. Grudge told me they even have underground farms for food, and if they were to run out of wood for fuel, there is plenty of coal to be found underground after all. So, if you didn’t think about it, then you could completely ignore the siege. At least until the elves bust down the gates and tried to push into the city.’
“Oh aye, I forgot about that. Good thing the gate has a normal lock instead of a rune. Well, it is sometimes easier to disable a rune than a physical lock, so that makes sense in a way. Welp, stand back, in case there is a rune hidden in there.”, Grudge told him.
Chris took a small step back, he was already a little way away, since he was trying to avoid the erratic dwarf shaking the gate like a madman. He was silently hoping the gate would give way, and fall on Grudge. It wouldn’t hurt him in anyway, but it would be hilarious to see that bulbous nose of his sticking out between the bars like an old timey prison.
Taking out his warhammer, Grudge gripped it in both hands, hammer side facing the lock. With all his strength he swung the hammer, it deflected off the lock, sending out a might clang and sparks.
“Still there, try again.”, Chris grinned.
“Ah shut it.”, Grudge replied as he swung again, eliciting the same response as before. He swung several more times, each time slowly deforming the lock, but not breaking it.
“Let me kick it, it might be damaged enough now that it will break.”, Chris told him, motioning for him to stand back.
Grudge moved out of the way, more than happy to let the large demoni take a crack at it. Chris gauged the distance, making sure he was going to kick lock and not air, the last thing he wanted was to miss, and wind up with his leg stuck between the bars. Chris tensed his leg as he brought his knee to his chest, and kicked out with all his power. The lock shattered, sending the iron gates flying open. Grudge let out a whoop of joy as he rushed in, eager to get inside the palace.
-
Cold blue eyes watch the two intruders as they walked into the palace, once again breaking open the doors to get in. Though the second time took much less time as the door was made of a hearty oak, rather than hardened metal. The shade continued to stalk them, they were told to hunt, so hunt they shall. But every hunter knows their limits, it couldn’t take them both alone, so more of its kind were coming. Soon the square would be a sea of blue-eyed shadows.
-
Ayla was having a grand ‘ol time. Many of the books she had found were fairly basic in their concepts, as the dwarves not matter the age, were ultimately all novices when it came to magic. There weren’t any dwarven mages to learn from, thus they all had to learn from scratch what other races knew by heart. But this book, this book intrigued her, the author wrote about a concept she had never come across, not in all the books of the College’s library. At first, she didn’t quite understand what the dwarf was getting at, he had a very roundabout way of getting to the point, and by some of the rambling she had read in other sections of the book, he seemed to be mad as well. Though history has a track record of giving the greatest talent to those who are not of a conventional mind. As she read, the subject of the book was slowly revealed to her, until she finally grasped what the mad dwarf had been getting at the entire time. He had been detailing, or rather attempting to, a theory.
His theory entailed the use of Spatial magic combined with runecraft to transport objects and people instantly from one rune to another. Except it was only a theory, he had spent years attempting to get the runes to work to no avail. However, he noted that he had very little experience with spatial magic. Which kept him from properly perfecting the runes and proving the theory, all he needed was someone who knew enough spatial magic to pull all the pieces of his plan together. The thing is, Ayla had a strong suspicion, that he may be right. If she teamed up with Grudge to replicate the runes, she suppling what spatial magic she knew, they may be able to prove the ancient dwarf’s theory. Changing the world practically overnight!
So, she continued to devour the book, burying her face within its musty pages, she smell of the rot reminded her she needed to keep it safe from anymore damage, until she could make copies. Her head buried in the book, she was oblivious to the world around her, well not completely oblivious. Her ears pricked up at the slight sound of someone making their way through the maze of shelves.
“That didn’t take you long. Was the High Chief’s home to secure for you to find a way in?”, she asked as she turned to look at Chris and Grudge. Ayla gasped, eyes going wide, she pulled the book she had been reading to her chest as she quickly stood knocking over her chair. She poured more mana into her illumination spell to ensure it wouldn’t go out. For before her, just out of reach of the illumination spells radius, stood a shade, but not just one shade, but many, to many to count.
